KEDARNATH: (Altitude-11,750 FT) : One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface

Today upon arrival at Dehradun airport / Haridwar railway station, proceed to Guptkashi
En-route have a look for beautiful “Devprayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Bhagirathi) & “Rudraprayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Mandakini)
Upon arrival Guptkashi, check in at hotel
Overnight at hotel
Today proceed to Sonprayag (35 kms/ Approx 1.5 hrs drive)
Upon arrival here take local Jeep from Sonprayag to Gaurikund (03 kms)- on direct payment basis (Only local vehicles are allowed from Sonprayag to Gaurikund)
Start trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (17 kms trek). Upon arrival check in at hotel
Later visit Kedarnath Temple and evening enjoy magnificent Lord Shiva Aarti (Worship)
One can take Pony/Palaki/Kandi & Helicopter services for Kedarnath on extra payment basis
Overnight at hotel
Today trek down to Gaurikund. Upon arrival take Local Jeep (On direct payment basis) to Sonprayag & further drive to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Overnight at hotel
Today in time transfer to Dehradun airport / Haridwar railway station to connect onward Flight/Train
