CHARADHAM are the famous four holy places of Hindu Pilgrimages, which are nestled among the lofty peaks of Himalayas in Uttarakhand. Chardham circuit consists of four sites : Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath & Badrinath. It is the ultimate desire of every Hindu to visit the holy shrines at least once in life time to attain salvation (Moksha). The great Hindu philosopher and reformer Adi Shankaracharya initiated the Chardham Yatra in an attempt to revive the Hindu religion. These Chardham also marks the spiritual source of four sacred rivers as well: River Yamuna (Yamunotri), River Ganga or Ganges (Gangotri), River Mandakini (Kedarnath) and River Alaknanda (Badrinath)

Today upon arrival at Dehradun airport/Haridwar railway station, proceed to Barkot
En-route have a look from road to Kempty Fall : The most fascinating and the biggest water fall
Upon arrival Barkot, check in at hotel
Barkot is a place of great scenic beauty with spectacular views of snow-capped mountains all around & located on the foot of Yamunotri
Overnight at hotel
Morning drive to Jankichatti (Approx 02 hrs drive)
From Jankichatti, start trek to Yamunotri (06 kms/Approx 03 hrs one way)
YAMUNOTRI : (Altitude-10,800 FT) : is the source of the holy river Yamuna and the seat of the Goddess Yamuna. The Yamunotri Dham is the first hallowed destination of the Chardham Yatra. This Dham is committed to Goddess Yamuna, who regarded be as a daughter of the Sun God (Surya Dev)
Upon arrival here, you can take a holy dip in Taptkund (Hot water spring) before entering in the Temple
Visit Yamunotri Temple & Divyashila
Later trek down to Jankichatti & drive to Barkot
One can take Pony Ride/Palaki/Kandi for Yamunotri trek on direct payment basis

Today proceed to Uttarkashi, situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi and is famous for its historical monuments, Temples & Ashrams. Upon arrival check in at hotel
Later visit Vishwanath temple, one of the oldest Shiva temple. A massive iron trident, symbolic of divine mothers’ is erected and worshiped from time immemorial at the temple complex
Overnight at hotel
After early breakfast, proceed to Gangotri
En-route take a holy dip in Hot water spring at Gangnani. Mostly devotees take holy dip in this natural hot water spring before heading towards Gangotri
GANGOTRI : (Altitude-10,250 FT) : is the source of the most holy river “The Ganges” which is also called Bhagirathi. According to Hindu legends river Ganga descended from heaven to earth at Gangotri, when Lord Shiva released the mighty river from his locks
Continue drive to GANGOTRI & Upon arrival take a dip at sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin. After dip visit Gangotri Temple, is the highest and the most important temple of Goddess Ganga
Later drive back to Uttarkashi.
En-route enjoy the beauty of Harsil Valley. It is famous for its natural beauty and for the majestic views of the Deodar trees and mountains

Today proceed to Guptkashi
En-route have a look for beautiful “Rudraprayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Mandakini)
Upon arrival Guptkashi, check in at hotel

Today proceed to Sonprayag (35 kms/ Approx 1.5 hrs drive)
Upon arrival here take local Jeep from Sonprayag to Gaurikund (03 kms)- on direct payment basis (Only local vehicles are allowed from Sonprayag to Gaurikund)
Start trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (17 kms trek). Upon arrival check in at hotel
KEDARNATH : (Altitude-11,750 FT) : One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface
Later visit Kedarnath Temple and evening enjoy magnificent Lord Shiva Aarti (Worship)
One can take Pony/Palaki/Kandi & Helicopter services for Kedarnath on extra payment basis

Today trek down to Gaurikund. Upon arrival take Local Jeep (On direct payment basis) to Sonprayag & further drive to Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Overnight at hotel
Today proceed to Badrinath via Chopta
Chopta, a picturesque hamlet which is still unexplored by travelers, is also famous as “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand”
En-route have a look for “Karanprayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Pinder), “Nandprayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Nandani) and “Vishnu Prayag Sangam” (River Alaknanda & River Dhauli Ganga)
Continue drive to Badrinath & on arrival check in at hotel
BADRINATH : (Altitude-10,200 FT) : is an important pilgrimage site which holds immense importance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Badrinath temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The area where Lord Vishnu pondered under a Badri tree for thousand unremitting years and taught us a definitive method for welfare of humankind is exceptional on the planet
Evening visit Temple and witness for Lord Vishnu Aarti (worship)

Morning visit Badrinath Temple
If time permit, visit Mana village- the last Indian village before Tibet border (03 kms from Badrinath). Visit here Vyas Cave & Bhim Pul
Later drive to Srinagar/Devprayag & check into hotel
